Trae Configuration Guide (Plugin Configuration)

Trae is a powerful AI-powered integrated development environment (IDE) built on VS Code. If you have used VS Code before, the Trae interface will feel very familiar.

This guide explains how to install and configure the Cline extension in Trae to connect to the API provided by the 4SAPI platform.

1. Install the Cline Extension

Because Trae supports VS Code extensions, you can install Cline directly from the extension marketplace in Trae.

Open the extension marketplace and search for Cline.

Click Install.

Wait for the installation to finish. The Cline icon will appear in the activity bar on the left, as shown below.

2. Configure a Third-Party API in Trae

Click the Cline icon in the activity bar on the left side of Trae, then enter the following details in the Cline settings:

Base URL: https://treerouter.com/v1
API Key: sk-xxx (your 4SAPI platform token key)

In Model ID, select or enter the name of the model you want to use, such as gpt-5.2, then save the configuration.

Important: The selected or entered model name must exactly match the name shown in the platform's model marketplace. You can copy and paste the model name directly from the marketplace.
